Fact-Finding Mission:: Poland

Poland was the last point of visit of the delegation which was attended by the Secretary General of the
Center Rovshan Muradov and Eka Tkeshelashvli, former Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia. They paid
a visit to the Jolanta Kwasniewska foundation in order to be updated on the work the foundation is doing and to exchange views on current situation and to find ways of involvement of the Center to be a part of the support both in financial aid and voice raising. Jolanta Kwasniewska Foundation "Communication
without Barriers (Porozumienie bez Barier)" in cooperation with the Global Empowerment Mission informed the members that they are launching a program to help war refugees from Ukraine. The aim of the project is to support the relocation of refugees from places of their temporary stay - stadiums, sports halls, stations, schools - to people and families all over Poland and Europe, offering them rhe safe shelter in their own homes and apartments. They highlight that “We do not want to create refugee camps in Poland; we want each of them to find shelter among us, the people of the entire European Union”.
During the meeting, the team from foundation shared information on their experiences of working for refugees and escorted them to the Expo refugee center and informed them of the living conditions that the people of Poland and the government arranged for them. It was agreed with the foundation of the Jolanta Kwasniewska that as a joint initiative they will arrange the visit ofa big group of the Center to have
a fact-finding mission to Poland to get informed about the situation and the response of the government and to get support for Ukraine. As well as to be informed about the international and non- government organizations’ role in this mission including "Communication without Barriers (Porozumienie bez Barier)", “Uniters”, Ukrainian House”, Global Empowerment Mission”, United Nations Human Commission of Refugees.
