Learned, Qualified & Renowned Professor of Islamic Studies, offering over 30 years of exposure as an Academician currently spearheading as Dean Faculty of Social Sciences & Professor at the Institute of Islamic Studies, University of Kashmir, India. Successfully contributed as Director of the Institute of Islamic Studies for a period of nine years, as Provost of the University, as chairman and member of various University bodies and academic organisations at national and international levels. Recipient of the Makhdumquli Firagi award – the highest literary award from the Government of Turkmenistan and member Board of Trustees, Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, Azerbaijan. Having a wide International exposure and travelled across the world to contribute to International Academic fora most often as Keynote Speaker, Professor Shah is abreast with the current advances in the field of academic research and pedagogy particularly in the field of Social Sciences, besides contributing to scholastic and academic journals. Spearheading efforts across handling entire spectrum of functions pertaining to design and development of overall research and curricula specifically History of Islamic Civilization, Arabic Language, Central Asian History, Christian-Muslim Relations, Comparative Religions, Persian Language, Social Studies & Religious Sciences; developing and delivering a range of programmes of study at various levels.
